Our Story

Jesus Reigns Community Empowerment Organisation (JRCEO) was founded in 2017 by Muwanguzi Elijah, a humble orphan from Kirumba, Masaka, Uganda. Inspired by his own experiences growing up under the care of a compassionate Christian pastor from the USA, Elijah realized the profound challenges faced by orphans, widows, and children with disabilities in rural Uganda.

The Beginning

With a vision to uplift the vulnerable, JRCEO began its mission with just 10 orphans and 5 widows in the local community. Elijah's commitment to serving these groups was driven by a deep sense of purpose and faith, embodying the teachings of Jesus Christ to bring comfort and hope to those in despair.

Our Churches

In addition to empowerment programs, JRCEO has established three community churches under the name Jesus Reigns Community Churches. These churches serve as spiritual havens, promoting community development and spreading the gospel.

A Vision for the Future

Elijah envisions a future where JRCEO can further support vulnerable groups across Uganda and beyond. His long-term goals include establishing orphanages and schools for orphans and creating sustainable income sources for widows, young girls, and persons with disabilities.

Growth and Expansion

"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted..."
